FIELD OPERATIONS

Redline Structures ON Inc field crew are to implement the building process with a site level, performing duties such as site management, layout, concrete forming, and placement. Typical Careers in this department include:

Site Supervisor

At Redline the Site Supervisor organizes, directs, and manages all site activity relevant to our scope of work and to ensure concordance with building code, drawings and specifications. This person monitors unit costs on a daily basis and prepares various documents including daily time sheets, job safety analysis sheets, and foreman’s reports. Also to ensure that all work performed in compliance with Redline’s Occupational Health & Safety Program.

Ideal candidates for this position would be a graduate of a post-secondary diploma or degree in a construction related program with 10+ years in experience. Prior work experience to be in multi level cast in place buildings, commercial and residential formwork, tilt up walls and major formwork projects.

Field Engineer

The Field Engineer is in charge of completing all formwork layout and assisting the Site Supervisor in ensuring the quality of work performed. Key accountabilities include: verifying that formwork and concrete are placed according to project requirements, ordering concrete, organizing the pour schedule, monitoring rebar installation, quantity surveying, and arranging inspections with various consultants. The Field Engineer works as part of the site team to ensure 100% compliance with Redline’s Occupational Health and Safety Program.

Ideal candidates to have post-secondary education in a construction-related discipline and prior work experience with survey equipment such as total stations, transits and laser levels, as well as fluency with AutoCAD, spreadsheet, and project planning software.

Foreman

The Site Foreman directs and evaluates the work of carpenters and laborers ensuring that ideal crew sizes are maintained and that crews have all the materials and equipment required to complete the task. The Foreman must ensure 100% compliance with Redline’s Occupational Health and Safety Program.

Ideal candidates have experience on construction sites as a labourer or carpenter, combined with prior leadership experience as a lead hand or foreman, as well as the ability to read drawings and specifications.

Carpenter

Carpenters are to build build and erect formwork as instructed by Site Supervisor or Foreman. Carpenters are to have industry related experience and construction training in Safety, equipment and practices.

Labourer

Labourers are to place and finish concrete as requested by Site Supervisor or Foreman. Labourers are to have industry related experience and construction training in Safety, equipment and practices.

Operator

Operators are to be licensed to operate relevant equipment like Tower cranes, mobile cranes, forklifts or boom trucks. Candidates are to have industry related experience and construction training in safety, equipment and practices.

CO-OP & RECENT GRADUATES

If you are attending a college or university that does not have a Co-op Program, Redline provides a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience for the summer months while pursuing a career in construction. As a summer labourer, students are to work with formwork crews providing any assistance upon request. These positions will be located in the South-western Ontario Region.
